Cofa Civil Engineering LTD

Objective

After completing a successful logo project for C.D Civil Engineering Ltd, word of mouth quickly led to another opportunity. A few months later, I was contacted by Cofa Civil Engineering Ltd, a new company that had seen my previous work and wanted a logo with a similar balance of clarity.

Their brief came with an interesting twist they wanted to incorporate a Cofa tree, a symbol to their historical roots in Coventry. I began exploring how to merge the natural form of a tree with the structured, geometric visual language typical of the civil engineering industry. My early sketches played with silhouettes, negative space, and subtle line work, experimenting with how the tree could complement rather than dominate.

The final concept used a clean sans-serif font to project professionalism and precision, paired with a simplified tree motif that gave the logo a distinct identity without sacrificing legibility.

Like the previous project, the process moved swiftly tight deadlines, clear communication, and only a few small revisions. It was another rewarding freelance commission that reinforced how good design can spread organically when it connects with the right audience.
